Keith started his career in 1979 when he was given the opportunity to serve as an electrical apprentice for Watt Line Construction in Shamong, NJ. While at Watt, he was educated in sports lighting, control wiring, high voltage primary wiring, airport runway approach lighting at the U.S. Naval Base in Bermuda, and much more.
In 1984, Keith and Gail Bott decided to start an electrical contracting company of their own. Our mission was to perform the highest quality work and to exceed our clients' expectations and ensure their complete satisfaction. In 1986, we incorporated and became Bott Electrical Contractor, Inc.
Keith is a licensed New Jersey electrical contractor with over 40 years of electrical experience. Keith is a Member of the New Jersey Chapter of Independent Electrical Contractors, is certified in OSHA 10 training, takes mandatory Continuing Education and Code Update classes, served a three year term on the Burlington County Construction Board of Appeals, and holds a Delaware electrical license.
Our son, Evan, is following in his father's footsteps and joined our company in 2011 as an electrical apprentice. We are proud to say he completed the extensive four year apprenticeship program and has his Journeyman's license. Soon he will be taking the NJ Electrical Licensing Test to become a licensed electrician. Evan brings 10 years of experience to the table. Evan loves the technical side of the business and works closely with our clients to set up software, apps, and programming of generators and EV chargers.
