At Bott Electric, SAFETY COMES FIRST! We take electrical safety seriously and implement several safety related procedures such as training, drug testing, electrical burn prevention, recycling, and more.
Bott Electric requires all employees to attend OSHA safety courses. Employees are educated in how to identify a dangerous condition and what to do to prevent unsafe conditions. Safety equipment is a requirement when working on our projects. Our employees are required to follow all safety programs which we have implemented.
Bott Electric believes in a drug free environment. Drug testing has been a large part in hiring our employees and maintaining a safe work place for many years.
Electrical Burn Prevention
When our employees are required to perform hot work, the proper equipment must be utilized. ARC flash protection equipment, including support equipment, is supplied to our workers to be sure their safety comes first. An ARC flash is an electrical explosion that occurs when there is an electrical fault in the equipment. It is five times the temperature of the sun and it consists of plasma, molten metal and super heated gases that you are exposed to in a matter of seconds, creating second and third degree burns and/or death.
The environment is also very important to the Bott family. Bott Electric recycles as much material as possible, from copper, steel and aluminum to fluorescent lamps and hazardous fluids. Recycling, in our opinion, is part of a safety program. Handling recycling materials and fluids can be dangerous and cause injury or death if not done properly. In addition, recycling will help preserve our environment for future generations.
